Three months ago, Vancouver experienced a blackout for thirteen hours. It started at Tower Labs, rolling through the city in a wave of dust and darkness and silence not entirely unlike an earthquake. Buildings trembled, traffic stumbled, and the people froze. Within twenty four hours, five percent of Vancouver's population fell ill. About half of those effected did not survive the illness, but those that did recovered within two weeks. Those that survived realized something about themselves had changed. The survivors found they could sense something different in their city.
Suddenly and without warning, once normal humans began to sense the supernatural population that previously thrived unseen among them. The explosion did not create the supernatural, only revealed them as they were without glamours or magic or the cloak of darkness.
